Citizen Science
After I watched an introduction video about what the citizen science and earth
optimism for educator by atamerica through youtube both really reflect of myself
as the young generation. Suddenly I remember the message from Soekarno as the
first precident of Indonesia “Give me 1000 parents, I will surely pull Semeru
out of its roots. Give me 10 youths I will surely shake the world.” Above all
giving me a big question such kind of the reflection of myself. Then, I realize
I am nothing but I have spirit and optimistic that I can do it with you guys. As
the next generation, Let’s do contribution together as citizent science to shake
the world. Are you ready? Are you dare? Or Big No?

soekarno_quotes.png (524×311) (bp.blogspot.com). Guys, As citizent science is
not hard or difficult as you can imagine right now. It does not need much money
or profesional education. As volunteer it means that we are a citizent science
from my perspective. Due to the similar intention and action to give positive
impact, right? Furthermore, as citizent science is does not have a big place or
factory. We can start from something near us. Probably what something strugle is
or what make you feel different then try to find information and analyse it next
try to solve the problem. So I can conclude the awareness and caring are
important.
medium.jpg (500×333) (inaturalist.org). Guys, I find something new. Every
morning, I sweep on the floor I always see some squirels who jump on my coconut
tree to another tree. Lately, I felt worry because I cannot see the squirel
again. I wonder and courious what happen. Time by time I got the answer that
people walk near my house bring the hunting gun and many big tree fall after the
natural disaster in my village again (rain+wind). When I try to observe on the
scistarter website (https://scistarter.org/project-squirrel) I found a project
focus on squirel. In that project, we help the scientist to count the number of
squirel, try to identify, take documentation, and report it. I see the reviews,
many comments who participated. Let’s do it guys as one of this part. If you
find squirel in your area, please join it.

your comment on below. Keep smile ^_^

I like squirrels, he is so cute when he eats. But I never hold or take pictures hehehe. Have you ever photographed a squirrel? The program is cool by recording the presence of squirrels. Hopefully no one is hunting for squirrels. Let they live in their habitat. Thank you ranger Mia for sharing
Well Thank you ranger Mia for remind me about The Message of our First President. And yeah I'm so ready and go for it. and yes i do agree with you about "citizen science that we can start from something near us." I will absolutely do that after this, but not with the squirrel sadly. Its mot their habitat here in my home, maybe with other animal.
I believe so, that youth is indeed making big impacts to the world nowadays.
Believing or not, there are also reasons from the US Embassy Program- Access Indonesia, EARTH OPTIMISM that we were selected to be 20 exceptional rangers to have more awareness to our communities. For instance, what you did and wrote here might be a small change from world. However, 20 small changes are done continuously and those are more than enough to make big changes which might inspire bigger communities to work together for the real optimistic better world movement. These all are the ideas you just inspire me. Thank you so much Rangers MIA......
It is amazing how diverse the activity can be in citizen science. This may look simple but I believe it will help squirrel species. I sincerely hope we can protect them in our beloved earth. Small things are always needed! Thank you for posting this information :)
You absolutely are a citizen scientist Ranger Mia! Great post - we have many squirrels in my neighborhood and my dogs chases all of them!
If we look at squirrels in a simple way what I have in mind is talking about Sandy. The cute 'Sandy' in the Spongebob animated series is really useful for many things. squirrels have an important role in the forest cycle. Squirrels are famous for eating nuts, sometimes forget where they store their food. So this is a natural way to plant trees and keep the forest green.
Actually around my house there are a lot of squirrels. they love to play in the trees and the roof of my house. I often see squirrels but have never observed them. maybe later when I return to my hometown, I will try to take pictures and make observations about them. thank you for the idea ranger Mia
I really want to hold a squirrel. Some time ago I had a squirrel but didn't dare to hold it. We can be citizen scientists with little things around us.
